A pink Bauhinia elsewhere on the university campus. The pink ones seem to be more evergreen, retaining their leaves all year round, unlike the magenta and the white. The ash-grey branches in the top right of the photo are a huge kapok tree … you can just see one or two of the scarlet blossoms.
